Dual Licensing state:
Arkansas uses the following terms to authorize a resource family for foster care and (or) adoption after completion of education and training in state:
Arkansas requires the following types of placement resources to be licensed/approved/certified:
- Foster Care
- Adoption
- Foster/Adopt
Arkansas resource training program is as follows:
Arkansas will give full or partial credit for foster care and adoption education and training completed in another state:
- Adoption
Other: If applicant has completed PRIDE, MAPP, or PATH in another state, AR will accept as long as we receive documentation of completion of these trainings. Other trainings may be accepted provided outline of curriculum is reviewed and approved by AR Foster Care Manager and documentation of completion of that course in the other state is received.
- Foster Care

Requirements (Licensing)
Licensing Requirements:
Central Registry Check, State Police Background Check, FBI Check, must meet all Minimum Licensing Standards and DCFS Policy Requirements, must complete CPR and First Aid course, SAFE Home Study.
