Age of Majority and Code:

• Under 18 years for dependency and CHINS cases; Under 17 years for delinquency cases
• O.C.G.A. § 39-1-1 O.C.G.A. § 15-11-2 (Juvenile Code Definition of a Child)

Statutory Penalties Under ICPC:

• A person or an association in violation of adoption provisions provided in Code Section 19-8 shall be fined not more than $10,000 or imprisoned for not more than ten years, or both, in the discretion of the Court.
